New Zealand’s business and people bring the world creativity, innovation and technology – through New Thinking.
CeBIT provides the opportunity for New Zealand companies to have their value recognised globally.
In association with New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE), New Zealand companies have the opportunity to feature their world-class technology on the biggest ICT stage in the world.
Supported by New Zealand Trade & Enterprise ’s New Thinking promotion and intensive PR campaign, CeBIT Hannover serves as a platform to raise the profile of New Zealand technology offshore and to open up markets in Western and Eastern Europe, Eurasia and Asia.
The New Zealand Pavilion at CeBIT Hannover is the largest involvement from New Zealand Trade & Enterprise in the worldwide event market in terms of cost, preparation and on-stand technology. For the companies, it is a chance to feature their world-class technology through a professional and cutting edge presentation.

“Vcomms had recognized that potential for its products in existed in Europe, and was looking to take this further at the time NZTE offered assistance to get us to CeBIT 05.
We looked at what CeBIT had to offer, and did some initial market work to see how the opportunities CeBIT offered would help us in evaluating how our product sat in Europe, and making contacts with potential customers.
We saw CeBIT as a chance for a short but deep immersion in the European market, from which we would learn very quickly if we should proceed with plans to expand into it, or stop.
With assistance prior to CeBIT from NZTE we found and made ourselves known to people we wanted to see at CeBIT, and that coupled with our presence on the CeBIT Web site and visits to selected other exhibitors stands resulted in around 60 "meaning full" visits at our stand.
These interchanges all resulted in increasing our market or product space knowledge, and about 20% of them were potential customers. Given the rather specialist space our product occupies was an excellent result for us.
Our presence at CeBIT gave us a first presence in Europe, and I believe gave substance to Vcomms for European prospects.
CeBIT provided an excellent return for our efforts, one that I don't see we could have bettered in any other way.”
